University of Copenhagen Arctic Station

A research station on the south coast of an island in the Arctic with a marine climate, overlooking a bay/strait, supports Arctic research and education.

The Arctic Station, situated on the south coast of Disko Island, has an arctic, marine climate and overlooks Disko Bay/Davis Strait. Located in a nature sanctuary about 1 km west of town, it is funded and managed by the University of Copenhagen to support Arctic research and environmental science education at the university level.
