Nuuk Stadium and Inuissivik

This is a modest stadium by international standards, but it is only recently that we got grass pitches in Greenland
Nuuk Stadium, situated in the heart of Nuuk, is a testament to our remote country's passion and love for sports. We only recently got grass pitches in Greenland so we are getting used to playing in a different way than on the usual gravel pitches. Next to the football field, you will find the impressively large Inussivik sports hall. This was built in 2002 to house the Arctic Winter Games, a circumpolar sports event for young people. It now houses all kinds of events, both national and international. It was the venue for the NACHC finals for women (North American & Caribbean Handball Confederation) and Greenland beat Canada to go on to the World Championships.
