Gertrud Rask's Church is named after the wife of Hans Egede, who was a remarkable woman. In Nuuk, you find Hans Egede's Church.

Today, Qaqortoq's new Gertrud Rask Church, inaugurated on 8 July 1973, is located on a raised mountain plateau above the city's old center area. The white concrete church is named after Hans Egede's wife, Gertrud Rask. Altarpiece floral motifs are taken from the South Greenlandic flora.
