Visit the old building foundations where people used to live.

Placed at the western edge of Narsaq and sandwiched between the town and the heliport, you find Old Narsaq. There are remnants from the former Greenlandic settlement before Narsaq became a trading colony around 1830.

Many people lived in peat huts into the 20th century.

Some of the ruins are more recent, but it is interesting to see how they lived very close to the sea - in fact, the Kayak Harbor is not far from Old Narsaq.
