The Maniitsoq Museum is a historical and cultural institution located in the Greenlandic town of Maniitsoq. Maniitsoq Museum is housed in four historic colonial buildings. The fish factory and Pisiffik are now located where these structures were once constructed. Here were the homes of the colonial administrator, his assistant, the cooper's shop, bakery, brewery, supply stall with shop, fish house, salmon house, blubber house, and whale oil boiling house. The museum includes a display of clothing, art, history, and information on earlier settlements and the colonial era. The region has been inhabited for more than 4,000 years, and the museum features pictures and artifacts from ancient settlements. The museum features artifacts from the Saqqaq, Viking, and later Thule cultures.
