The original of Narsaq's four harbors, it is also the one with the best view, as it faces southwest towards the Ice Cap and has amazing sunsets.

The kayak harbor, located in the area named Akilliit, is one of the four harbors in Narsaq. The most famous is the Colonial Harbor, with its picture-perfect colonial architecture. The kayak harbor is where the hunters of yore set out when they went hunting in their kayaks, hence the name.

Today, you mostly encounter motorized boats here, but it has a Klondyke-y feel that you don't meet in the other more orderly harbors.

Come at night to enjoy the fantastic sunsets, looking towards the Ice Cap on the horizon.
