Narsaq is one of only two towns with a direct view of the Greenland Ice Sheet. From the Ice Sheet, thousands of glaciers calve into the sea. Unfortunately, the Twin Glaciers don't anymore as the glaciers have retreated.
The Twin Glaciers are located in a side fjord to the large Ikersuaq Fjord/Bredefjord.
The Twin Glaciers are located on either side of a protruding rock, and here you can step off the boat and walk around.
A few hundred meters away, you can actually touch the Ice Sheet. Some decades ago, the Twin Glaciers calved into the sea, but the ice has retreated so much that it doesn't anymore. Near the Twin Glaciers, you also find a waterfall and several bird mountains.
