At the entrance to the small inlet where the Colonial Harbor is situated, there is a small island you can walk onto at low tide.
The island is rocky with grass and rocky terrain and you should beware of the high drops in altitude on one side of the island.
This is where fishers dry their big nets as it is undisturbed even though it's so close to town. Don't stay too long on the island, though, as the isthmus that took you there disappears at high tide.
