Experience Ilulissat (Days 2-8)
Ilulissat means icebergs, which is rather self-explanatory once you get to see the beautiful Ice Fjord and the numerous icebergs majestically floating around
Kayak Experience in Ilulissat
Experience the ancient tradition of kayaking in a stunning icy landscape, surrounded by icebergs and the possibility of encountering whales.
The "Kayak Experience" offers a unique opportunity to kayak in the country where kayaking originated. Inuit have been kayaking Greenland waters for over a thousand years, and you can experience it, too. Gliding silently through the water, you will be surrounded by icebergs and floes, with the midnight sun casting a unique hue on the ice. In cloudy weather, the beautiful blue colors of the icebergs become even more vivid. You may even encounter whales during your kayak tour with a little luck. The excursion lasts about 3½ - 4 hours, with at least two hours spent at sea, and all tours take place in stable double kayaks with a boat following closely.
