Aasiaat Airport is positioned 1.9 km northeast of Aasiaat, which is a town situated in the Qeqertalik municipality in western Greenland. The government contract flights to villages in the Aasiaat Archipelago are operated by Air Greenland. It's important to note that settlement flights in the Disko Bay area are only available in winter and spring, while in summer and autumn, communication between settlements is by sea only via the Diskoline ferry. Additionally, there is a road that leads to Aasiaat, and taxis are available for transportation.
