Narsaq Museum
Narsaq Museum is located in historic buildings of the colonial era. Guess why one building is numbered A34 on the roof!
Narsaq Museum is located on the historic waterfront of Colonial Harbor. Here you find some of the town's oldest buildings, some of which date back to the founding of Narsaq in 1830. In addition, the museum has been outfitted with collections and displays in several buildings.
The museum's exhibitions on kayaks and Norse settlers complement its permanent displays of local history and the history of the Norse settlers.
Interior exhibits from all eras and social classes can be found here, as well as a memorial home for the priest, poet, and painter Henrik Lund who wrote our national anthem. In addition, the number of A34 painted on the roof of the main building functioned as a marker for American planes in the infancy of Greenland's aviation history.
