Ilulissat was founded in 1741 and is today Greenland’s third-largest town, with more than 4,500 inhabitants. On this guided city walk, your guide will share insights into the town’s history, Greenlandic culture, and modern life 300 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. Along the way, we visit the fishermen at the harbor, the vendors at “Brættet,” and pass by Knud Rasmussen’s birthplace as well as the old wooden Zion Church.
