Join us on an unforgettable boat trip through Nuuk’s magnificent fjord system as we search for some of the ocean’s largest and most fascinating creatures – the humpback whales.
Every summer, from June to September, the whales return to Greenlandic waters to feed on krill and small fish. They can often be seen up close, lifting their distinctive tails above the surface or gliding gracefully past the boat. Many visitors describe the experience as almost spiritual – a quiet, awe-inspiring reminder of nature’s power.
The tour lasts 3–4 hours depending on the type of boat, and we always follow the authorities’ guidelines for responsible whale watching. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience Nuuk’s marine wildlife up close – and perhaps take home a memory you’ll never forget.
